Trucking Companies * New Zealand - Advised to "weed out" reluctant clients
New Zealand -Radio New Zealand -23 Nov 2007: -- Trucking companies are being told to drop businesses that won't accept higher transport charges... The Road Transport Forum says the firms should "weed out" any clients who try to fight rates being raised in line with higher roading costs... Chief executive, Tony Friedlander, says increases in fuel and labour costs are threatening truckers' livelihoods... He says carriers should warn clients they will need to find another operator if they won't accept higher charges...
