A state police commercial vehicle enforcement team from Greensburg was dispatched after residents complained about trucks carrying turbines after hours, police said Friday. The turbines were being taken to a wind farm outside Meyersdale, about 70 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, authorities said... As police were inspecting one truck that was hauling the base tower for a windmill, six more trucks showed up, all without proper permits, police said.
