91.1 percent of truckers who responded to latest poll would not want to drive a truck into Mexico

Little Rock,Ten,USA -The Trucker News Services -24 Sept 2007: -- The vote is in and truckers have spoken decisively: given the choice, they would not want to drive a truck into Mexico... Responding to the question, “Given an option, would you drive a truck into Mexico?” As of today, 91.1 percent of the 485 who answered said “no.” Only 43 respondents (8.9 percent) said they would drive a truck into Mexico... The vote corresponds to a previous poll that asked the question: “Do you think allowing Mexican trucks to transport goods to America will hurt your income?”... To that question, 336 respondents (88 percent) answered “yes,” while 46 answered “no.” ... This week’s poll asks the question: “As fuel prices increase, fuel surcharges become increasing important.
