Ticketing truck drivers who park in downtown Sapulpa brings protests
Sapulpa,OK,USa -The Sapulpa Herald, by JOHN SWAILS -September 12, 2007: -- The Sapulpa Police Department recently began ticketing semi trucks and trailers that were parked on Hobson Street, and there have been mixed feelings on the issue. Several truck drivers have expressed concerns over what they consider to be an “anti-truck driver policy” in Sapulpa. “There is no lot in this town to park a truck,” said truck driver Eddy Chancey... But officials at the Sapulpa Police Department have made it clear that enforcing a no-parking policy on Hobson for trucks is not personal... According to city officials, there is no designated place for semi trucks in Sapulpa to park)
