Real world trucking * Canada - Slowing them down with a speed limiter?
What university educated, government paid idiot came up with this plan?
Peterborough,Ontario,Canada -The Peterborough Examiner, by KERRY GILDERS -7 July 2007: -- If Transportation Minister Donna Cansfield had a clue or someone advising her had one they would know that all newer trucks (mid '90s to 2007) have an onboard electronic control module that can already limit the speed of a truck... But why worry about that when you are only going to look at one side of the problem. I spend every day driving in the Peterborough and Durham areas and the acts of stupidity you see daily are unreal. Trucks take a beating in the news when an accident occurs due to the fact that when car meets truck, truck wins... I am not saying that there are not bad truck drivers; there are, I've met quite a few. But I can say that a very high percentage of the drivers in this area are the best at what they do and take great pride and effort in being safe and keeping others on the road safe... Remember our families drive these roads too...
