Road Congestion Relief * USA - President to Seek Funds for
Washington,DC,USA -The Wall Street Journal (NY,USA) -5 Feb 2007: -- President Bush will include provisions to help ease traffic congestion in his budget blueprint Monday... Bush plans to highlight a “congestion initiative”... Grants to state and local governments would get the bulk of the money, which would include $130 million to help build electronic toll systems... Overall, the budget will include an additional $175 million for anti-congestion initiatives... The Transportation Department estimates the cost of congestion nationwide at about $200 billion annually, including wasted fuel, delays and inventory costs...
