Safety * USA - Wyoming flunks watchdog group’s test

USA -Land Line Magazine -Jan 16, 2007: -- Wyoming is the worst state in the nation when it comes to passing highway safety laws, according to a new study by a highway safety watchdog group... The group, Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety, blasted Wyoming for not having a primary seat belt law, a motorcycle helmet law, an open container law, or a sobriety checkpoint law... However, an official with the Wyoming Highway Patrol told local media the report doesn’t take into account the state’s low population and how that affects the need for certain laws...
