PRODUCTION * India - M&M to invest Rs 2,500-cr in trucks plant
Mumbai,India -The Financial Express (Bombay,Ind) -Jan 16, 2007: -- Automotive major Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday said it would set up a Rs 2,500-crore greenfield facility at Pune in Maharashtra to manufacture commercial trucks. For this, M&M will use its joint venture with US-based International Truck and Engine Corp. This JV, which would have an initial manufacturing capacity of 250,000 units, will produce medium and heavy commercial vehicles as well as other M&M products, the company said. Of the total production, 40,000 to 50,000 vehicles will be exported to the rest of Asia and parts of Africa...
