Driving around big rigs - USA - Truckers urge more cautious

Now, some truck drivers are offering their suggestions on how cars and trucks can share the road safely. ABC7's Sarah Schulte went out for a ride with one truck driver Wednesday... With the holiday travel season coming up, the American Trucking Association is out to give some lifesaving tips on how to safely share the road with trucks. The Illinois State Police say so many accidents could be prevented if cars knew the limitations of a truck... "A fully loaded truck at highway speeds, it can take a football field to come to a complete stop," Phil Gould, 30 years driving a truck, said... Of course, this was all from the perspective of truckers. Drivers of cars have plenty of complaints about the way truck drivers share the road. The American Trucking Association says part of its education campaign is to make sure truckers drive safely as well...
