On Time - USA - Despite restatements, Navistar to file '06 report
Chicago,Ill,USA -Chicago Chronicle/AP -2 June 2006: -- Truck maker Navistar International Corp., which is restating financial results going back to 2002, said Friday it will file its full-year 2006 report on time by mid-January 2007... Navistar said in April it would restate results for fiscal 2002 to 2004 and the first nine months of fiscal 2005. The restatement resulted from accounting errors that prevented Navistar from filing on time its fiscal 2005 financial report and first-quarter 2006 quarterly report... An independent probe by an outside law firm into the company's accounting related to vendor rebates turned up no evidence of fraud or intentional misconduct, Navistar said...
