Company - Ireland - Delivering security

Want to secure a costly shipment or vet your security personnel? Need to enhance aviation security, or require sophisticated electronic tracking devices for at-risk cargo?...

Dublin,Ireland -Sunday Business Post, by Susan Mitchell -04 June 2006: -- As the head of risk management security services company, FreightWatch, Kieran O’Connor claims to have most - if not all - of the answers... FreightWatch was set up by two former Irish army rangers, who identified a niche for securing the shipment of high-value products. It identified risks and tightened security for at-risk cargo such as electronics, computers, tobacco, alcohol and fashion clothing... O’Connor joined FreightWatch in early 2000, when the company had just eight employees. He said he took the biggest risk of his career when he put 20 years of his pension savings and the proceeds from remortgaging his family home into FreightWatch and bought out one of the original founders... The company has expanded to offer a host of other security-related services and now employs 1,143 people around the world. O’Connor said the name FreightWatch was ‘‘a bit misleading’’, as the company was developing into a full-service security company...
