Vandals - USA - Target rigs parked on commercial T.O. streets

Parking restrictions frustrate trucking company owners and drivers

Ventura county,CA,USA -TheVenturaCountyStar, by Daniel Miller, Apr 8, 2006: -- Three trucks owned by Image Motor Transport and CCC Auto Transport were vandalized — their windshields smashed with a hammer — while parked overnight two weeks ago on Thousand Oaks streets... The vandalism, which occurred March 24 to car-hauling trucks parked on Boardwalk Avenue and Hillcrest Drive, was not an isolated incident... The companies use these commercial streets for overnight parking because the city does not allow commercial vehicles to be parked overnight on residential streets... (Photo: James Glover II / Star staff - Brian Memmott, co-owner of CCC Auto Transport, says his truck has been vandalized while parked on Thousand Oaks streets. He thinks someone in the area is responsible for the vandalism)
