Class-action - USA - Freightliner, Lawsuit filed against union
North Caroline, USA -WCNC/Associated Press, by PAUL NOWELL -24 Jan 2006: -- Five North Carolina employees of commercial truckmaker Freightliner LLC filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday accusing the United Auto Workers of trading wage and benefit concessions for the company's assistance in organizing workers... The lawsuit, which seeks class-action status, charges both the UAW and Portland, Ore.-based Freightliner with four violations of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Practice Act. The law bars employers from delivering "things of value" to unions, according to the National Right to Work Foundation...
