Protest - USA - Coal Truck Drivers Strike
Hazard,KY-USA -WYMT Mountain News -Sep 7, 2005: -- While gas prices have come down a little, they continue to cause problems for people across the region... Tuesday, 50 coal trucks were parked along Highway 80 in Hazard as drivers rallied for more money to make up for losses in the cost of fuel... Drivers said they pay $400-500 a day, just for fuel... "Where we haul from dumping and going back to get a load is right at $52 a load in fuel, plus our drivers pay anywhere from $35-40, and that's right at $90 a load," said driver Tim Reid...
