Opinion - USA - How Gas Prices Yoostabee
Crashes and crises past, sounding more familiar
Pleasant Ridge, Mich, USA -The Car Connection -9/12/2005: -- ... My point is this: over the next few days, weeks, and months you're going to hear a lot of the public and opportunistic politicians bleating about "Big Oil" ripping us off... But my observations of the local gas station's price fluctuations pretty clearly indicated that it's the local distributors and/or retailers who are doing the profiteering - not the refiners. The communications and control processes of the oil industry can't work as fast as local, opportunistic greed, uh pardon me, free enterprise...
