Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale,FL,USA -The Sun Sentinel, by Jean-Paul Renaud -July 31 2005: -- Heavy trucks will no longer be allowed to travel through the city's residential streets... And sheriff's deputies will be given the scales they need to make sure the new law city commissioners unanimously passed last week is enforced. City officials say dump trucks and oversized rigs have been using and destroying the community's roads as their drivers look for shortcuts...
