Penalties - USA - More Penalties for truck's heavy loads
Tyler,TX,USA -Tyler Morning Telegraph, by ROY MAYNARD -July 30, 2005: -- Smith County could soon crack down on trucks that damage county roads by hauling loads that are too heavy. In Monday's commissioners court meeting, Commissioner JoAnn Fleming and County Engineer Bill Bala will suggest a system for enforcing the permitting process recently instituted... "When we have 71 percent of our roads at C and D grades, we simply can't afford to give heavy haulers a free ride," said Mrs. Fleming. "So I've asked our attorney to look into how we can proceed to recover road damage from heavy haulers."...
