* Michigan - This is the new Fiat Toro sport pickup truck

-- Fiat not only dropped the first teaser of their upcoming pickup truck today, but they also confirmed its name as the 'Toro'... It will launch early next year in South America, with Fiat stating that it will "debut a new segment," that of the "Sport Utility Pickup or SUP," combining the "strength and characteristics of a truck" with "all the comfort features and drivability of an SUV"...

... The darkened teaser image suggests that the Toro will have a sharp looking front with some references to last year's Fiat FCC4 four-door pickup truck concept placed on a more conventional body, as seen in our scoop photo below... No other details have been released with the picture, but the internet rumor-mill is saying that the Toro will launch in South America with an entry-level, bi-fuel 1.8-liter engine producing around 140-horses in both two- and four-wheel drive setups...

** Michigan - FCA to supply 9,113 new 2016 Ram ProMaster Vans to U.S. Postal Service

-- FCA US LLC announced today that it will supply 9,113 new 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500 cargo vans to the United States Postal Service (USPS)... The cargo van selected by USPS features the award-winning, gasoline-fueled 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine rated at 280-horsepower output with peak torque of 260 lb.-ft. The engine is paired with a proven, smooth-shifting, six-speed automatic transmission, upgraded to accommodate the ProMaster's exceptional cargo-hauling capability... The Postal Service operates one of the largest vehicle fleets in the nation. USPS uses an estimated 190,000 vehicles to collect and deliver mail, including about 142,000 long-life vehicles (LLVs). The Ram ProMaster order is independent of USPS' acquisition program to supply the next generation of its delivery vehicles...
