-- Women’s project helped get Class 3 driver back on job in Sydney... For Mobanda Parr, it’s more than just a job... It’s an extension of her identity, offering a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment she hasn’t felt in years. The mother of two no longer has to depend on social assistance to get by. The hopelessness over failed attempts at finding work in Alberta is now a distant memory... Hired at Dutch Brook Disposal Services in Sydney in May, Parr was handed a company dump truck three weeks ago. She drives from site to site across the island. One day, the New Waterford resident may be hauling gravel to a highway construction project, the next, in the midst of a heavy garbage run. The days are packed and the tasks varied, just the way she likes it... The 29-year-old owes all of this to Ann Terry Women’s Employment Project in Sydney, Parr said...
