-- The WA State Government has announced the creation of 15 passing lanes on Great Eastern Highway between Southern Cross and Kalgoorlie-Boulder... Transport Minister, Dean Nalder, Road Safety Minister, Liza Harvey, and Regional Development Minister, Terry Redman, were in Kalgoorlie-Boulder to announce the $48 million project, with the funding coming from the Royalties for Regions program and the Road Trauma Trust Account... "This project involves construction of new passing lanes, widening the road seal to nine metres, installation of audible edge lining and the placement of safety barriers where necessary" ... Redman said the contribution from the Royalties for Regions program was part of a $4 billion investment over four years in regional Western Australia...
