 -- McNeight Express Inc. commercial truck driver Thomas "T.J." Jackson did an eight-month stint in Iraq for a defense contractor in 2003... He drove to and from Kuwait and Baghdad in convoys of up to 50 trucks, including military escorts for protection... He finished his tour a week before Saddam Hussein was captured... He's witnessed trucks exploding from roadside IEDs (improvised explosive devices) and had small-arms fire headed his way several times... In one incident, he said a supply truck parked at a base he was at caught a rocket meant for a soldiers compound. The trucker was sleeping in the cab berth and was injured... We were told to stop giving out candy and water to the kids along the highway when we were stopped," Jackson said. "The Army didn't want one of those kids to throw a grenade under our trucks" ... He acknowledged the hard part was that he didn't like being an occasional target for insurgents in Iraq... Despite the close calls, the work was steady and fulfilling, he said...

  --  The unidentified man in the viral video is shown kicking the truck driver on the ground of a Baltimore highway over the weekend... A passerby intervened in the highway fight and put a stop to the abusive road rager, left, picking on a 65-year-old trucker driver, pictured on the right... A man is seen attacking the driver of a tracker trailer after his car is hit during an fender bender. Later the man filming the encounter punches out the attacker... The dispute was captured on a profanity-laced video by a Illinois tattoo artist, Tommy Solis, who confronted a man over his treatment of a 65-year-old truck driver... The trucker identified as Gary Adair on the ground, clutching a tire iron in self-defense... Marlyand Transportation Authority spokeswoman Cheryl Sparks says their investigators are looking into the incident, but not a single traffic camera picked up the alleged assault... They first saw the viral video early this week being unaware of any violence on the roads overnight Saturday because no one called 911...
