Toronto,ONT,CAN -AP/The Globe and Mail -Dec. 02 2014: -- Drivers looking for a new truck helped push Canadian auto sales up 3.6 per cent in November to set a record for the month, according to DesRosiers Automotive Consultants. Meanwhile, DesRosiers noted that sales through the first 11 months of the year were just shy of the total sold in all of last year... Meanwhile, U.S.A. auto sales were also higher in November, driven by Black Friday promotions, falling gas prices, low-interest loans and hot new vehicles... Car-buying site Kelley Blue Book estimated that 25 to 30 per cent of the U.S. new vehicle sales in November happened over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend thanks to a flurry of promotions. Because the holiday came late in the month, buyers also benefited from dealers’ usual month-end sales push... U.S.A. new vehicle sales rose 5 per cent to 1.3 million, according to Autodata Corp. It was the second-fastest monthly sales pace this year, after August... The remaining holiday season is expected to be strong on both sides of the border...
