* Michigan - Car buyers report more problems with new cars, trucks this year
Auburn Hills,MICH,USA -The Associated Press -Jun 18, 2014: -- The race to fill vehicles with the latest technology is hurting quality... J.D. Power says buyers reported more problems with new cars and trucks this year than last year. The reason: Car makers are feeling pressure to add new technology, but buyers are frustrated when voice recognition, navigation and other systems don't work... The worst performers were Fiat, Jeep and Mitsubishi... Brands with fewer new vehicles tended to do better, since new models often have more glitches. This year's harsh winter also meant more complaints about cold-weather engine and heating problems... J.D. Power surveyed 86,000 buyers of 2014 model-year vehicles in the first 90 days of ownership. Buyers reported an average of 116 problems for every 100 vehicles...
