* Tennessee - Volvo to build US parts center
Memphis,TENN,USA -Transport Topics -12 Jun 2014: -- Swedish truck maker Volvo Group said it is building a 1 million-square-foot parts distribution center in Byhalia, Mississippi... The facility will support the company’s Mack, Volvo and UD truck brands as well as Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Penta... The operation in the Memphis suburb will employ about 250 people, the Associated Press reported... According to Volvo, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, the new facility will support primarily North American customers, but being part of the Memphis logistics hubs also puts it in position to export parts...
