* Germany - Mercedes-Benz truck plant in Wörth celebrates 50 years anniversary

Wörth,Germersheim,Rhineland-Palatinate,Germany -InAutoNews, by Aurel Niculescu -October 1st, 2013: -- The Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth is the world’s largest truck assembly plant, with more than 3.6 million trucks produced during its 50 years of existence... The first trucks rolled off the line in Wörth on October 1, 1963. A ceremony held today at the plant to commemorate this milestone was attended by some 300 guests... Mercedes-Benz Trucks is currently in the midst of the biggest product offensive in its history with the new Actros. The campaign, which began in 2011, has enabled Mercedes-Benz Trucks to become the first manufacturer to offer a complete range of Euro VI vehicles...
