Washington,DC,USA -The Associated Press/The Trucker, by By JOSH LEDERMAN -26 June 2013: -- Appealing for courageous action "before it's too late," President Barack Obama, Tuesday launched a major second-term drive to combat climate change and secure a safer planet, bypassing Congress as he sought to set a cornerstone of his legacy. His plan includes yet another round of new regulations for Class 2-8 trucks. He gave no details, but an official of the Environmental Protection Agency said the EPA would work with affected parties, including truck makers and others in the transportation industry, to develop the regulations. A new regulation would be the fourth the trucking industry has seen since 2007. Current regulations run through 2018...
