* Sweden - The new FH, Volvo Trucks
* A Volvo FMX high-tech sites
Gothenburg,Sweden -Truck and Business, by Claude Yvens -15 April 2013: -- The new Volvo FMX has been unveiled on the Volvo stand at Bauma in Munich. In keeping with a strategy that becomes increasingly evident since the launch of the new FH, Volvo Trucks multiplies this vehicle technological innovation and combined with what is already known of the FH and FM. FMX thus enjoys the Dynamic Steering system Volvo uses a coupled to the hydraulic steering control electric motor. Regarding several thousand times per second, the system tends to keep the vehicle in the middle of the ideal trajectory, even in reverse. The Volvo FMX is also gaining a new air suspension on the rear axle, available in 4x2, 6x4 and 8x4... For the rest, the FMX draws on the common organ bank the rest of the Volvo range: I-Shift transmission to specific programming and D11 and D13 Euro 6 engines with outputs of between 330 and 500 hp. Compared to engines used in the FH and FM road, FMX, however those are characterized by a non-cooled EGR system, which places a greater share of the NOx removal system on the SCR after-treatment... Its cabin obviously uses the same basis as the FH with some specific features to its range of use: strengthened into three parts and integrated headlamps bumper. The intrinsic qualities of the cab FH (including peripheral vision is particularly important on a construction vehicle) should be in the game... The production of the Volvo FMX Euro 6 will begin in September 2013...
