* Oregon - Freightliner Vans Recalled
Portland,ORE,USA -Light and Medium Truck -18 March 2013: -- Daimler Trucks North America is recalling up to 2,825 Freightliner step van chassis because of possible cracks in their fuel tanks, te National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said... The recall includes MT45G and MT55G van chassis that were made between Feb. 15, 2010 and April 30, 2012... Daimler told NHTSA that cracks in the fuel tanks could lead to leaking gasoline and vapors. And a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may lead to a vehicle fire, the March 4 recall notice said... The chassis are used for step-vans most commonly used in deliveries.
