* Europe: Crisis worries Big Three (USA's). Car sales could suffer

Emden,Germany -The Detroit News, by Bryce G. Hoffman -14 June 2012: -- Detroit's automakers are growing more concerned about the economic crisis on the other side of the Atlantic. The prevailing uncertainty about the future of the European Union, has undermined automobile sales in the region, leaving General Motors Co., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler Group LLC's parent, Fiat SpA, with far too much capacity... But strong national sentiments and the desire of left-leaning governments to protect prized auto jobs continue to prevent the sort of restructuring that happened in the United States, when they reduced their collective manufacturing capacity by about 5 million units. So, closing factories is hard in Europe. GM said Wednesday that it is considering keeping one of its German factories open beyond its planned closure date in 2015... Marchionne appears more willing to risk a confrontation. He has called on Fiat workers to accept the same sort of cost-saving concessions that their counterparts in Chrysler's U.S. plants made to allow the automaker to return to profitability...
* China - FAW Will Export 500 Besturn B50 to Russia
Changchun,China -FAW (PR), by Zhao Lei, and Luo Kan -Jun 6, 2012: -- 500 Besturn B50 cars which ordered by Russia Queen Group were down the production line of FAW on Jun 5... In this April, FAW Group signed an agent agreement for selling 33000 FAW's cars in Russia in 3 years with Queen Group... These products all meet European standard certifications and will be exported to Russia recently. FAW Car Company has never received such a big order from overseas countries since its founding... FAW Group is a leading global manufacturer of quality passenger cars, trucks, and buses. Established in 1953, the company is China's oldest and largest automotive group. Annual sales exceed two million units...
* China - Shanghai GM builds new plant in Wuhan
Shanghai,SH,China -China Daily, by Li Fangfang -6 June 2012: -- Shanghai GM, a joint venture between US automaker General Motors Corp and China's SAIC Group, said on June 6 it began building a 7 billion yuan manufacturing facility in Wuhan, Hubei province... The facility, the company's first project in the city, will have an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles. Shanghai GM Wuhan will produce small and medium-size passenger cars, sports-utility vehicles and new energy vehicles. Production is expected to begin in 2014...
* India - Mahindra & Mahindra to increase XUV500 output to 5000 units monthly

New Delhi,India -The Economic Times -Jun 10, 2012: -- Homegrown auto major M and M, will be increasing the monthly production of its hot-selling sports utility vehicle XUV500 to 5,000 units by around September-October... The firm that had increased output of the model to 4,000 units a month in May is trying to meet the increased demand after it opened bookings of the vehicles across India this month... Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Pravin Shah said, the company re-opened bookings for XUV500 from this month and said the vehicle would be made available across the country, including the 19 cities where it had been launched earlier... M and M had said nine months production capacity has been sold out for the XUV500...
