Avilla,IND,USA -The Journal Gazette, by Sherry Slater -September 30, 2011: -- Indiana Phoenix Inc., which arose from the ashes of Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2005, is investing more than $1 million in an expansion expected to create about 40 jobs over four years... Indiana Phoenix specializes in reusing the engine, transmission and other durable parts from cement mixers and putting them on a new frame with new wiring, plumbing, cab and mixer barrel... The cement-mixer maker plans to break ground in October on an 18,000-square-foot addition to its 60,000-square-foot building at 200 Dekko Drive. Construction of the $753,000 addition is expected to be completed by the end of the year, general manager Joe Elkins said. The company also will invest about $346,000 in equipment... The privately owned manufacturer also has a contract with Navistar International Corp. to build new mixer trucks sold under the Continental Mixers brand and makes 40-foot-long vacuum trailers used to transport oil...* California - DPF retrofit system receives expanded verification by EPA, CARB
