TRUCKING INDUSTRY * Australia - Squeeze a bit more in
Villawood,NSW,Australia -etruck.com.au -June 1st, 2010: ... A major Australian operator has been able to squeeze another couple of pallets onto a B-double, increasing productivity and wringing just a little bit more work out of their trucks...
The new B-double sets have been put on the road by a division of Toll, NQX Freight Systems, they are using state-of-the-art trailers fitted with the quick open and closing system from Freighter, Ezyliner. The whole combination fits within the 26 m length limit and fulfils all the other requirements, in terms of dimension, to meet the 26 m rules but carrying 36 pallets... It has taken some time but good old Aussie ingenuity has come up trumps yet again and found a way of getting just a little bit more freight on a truck out on the highway but they’ve managed it. Well done!
