* Australia - New device protects tanks from siphoning
A new device to protect trucking operators from fuel siphoning has been launched, stopping unauthorised access to fuel tanks
Dandenong South,VIC,Australia -ATN -March 12, 2010: ... Petromech anti-siphon tool is made from a single block of aluminium and uses a basket with a series of drain holes to allow 120 litres of fuel to be filled per minute but restricting tank access... Petromech says the device can be installed in just a few minutes and can be transferred between tanks, meaning operators can still use it if a truck is sold or replaced... The installation process requires no gluing or drilling so it will not damage the tank neck... The company says the device also has no moving parts and requires no maintenance during its life...

* USA - Dresser Wayne Launches Diesel Exhaust Fluid Dispensers In North America
USA -Automotive Manufacturing Reviews -18 March 2010: -- Dresser Wayne, a provider of vehicle energy dispensing technologies, has launched its Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dispensers in North America, which the company says will increase motorist throughput and ease transition to environmentally friendly technologies for high volume truck stops and fleet fueling facilities... DEF is a key component of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, which is being installed on 2010 diesel trucks. According to Dresser Wayne, the dispensers use a 40-inch wide frame that can be configured with either left or right-hand hose cabinet position. The dispensers install onto existing diesel fuel islands and can be used with above ground or underground tanks.
