Ceva Logistics says it is "in discussions" with Edwards Logistics over taking over the UK operations of Edwards

In a statement, Ceva says: "Ceva can confirm that it is in discussions with Edwards Logistics to determine whether there would be mutual benefits in Ceva taking over Edwards Logistics' UK road transport activities in the future"... The company stressed that it was not a takeover. This has lead to speculation that it will be more akin to a contract win...
* UK - New DAFs for Law Distribution
Haydock,ENG,UK -Road Transport, by Kevin Swallow -16 March 2010: -- Law Distribution has brought in two new DAF rigids for its Palletline operation through contract hire firm Ryder... The CF65 18-tonner and the CF45 11-tonner are on a five-year contract hire deal, replacing two vehicles at the end of their original deals. Law Distribution employs 38 people and boasts a 15-strong fleet with 21 trailers... Eight rigid trucks on the fleet handle local collections and deliveries for the Palletline operation. Its artic fleet runs trucking operations for Palletline and national groupage work...
