Reflect Scientific, Inc. Receives Another Order for

Orem,UT,USA -Marketwire/CNN Money -December 16, 2009: -- Reflect Scientific, Inc., a provider of energy efficient, zero emission cooling products for the transportation industry and other cold chain management markets, received another order for its patented, environmentally friendly CB-40 refrigeration system for use in overland refrigerated trucks -- commonly referred to as Reefer Trucks... The Cryometrix CB-40 for the trucking industry is a direct replacement for the polluting diesel units that are being used today. With a very sizable potential market for refrigerated trucks in the United States, the technology would keep millions of pounds of pollutants from being pumped into the atmosphere... The patented liquid nitrogen refrigeration technology serves as a platform for other products and is also used in Ultra Low Temperature Freezers for the biotechnology industry and server room cooling systems in the computer industry...

New supply deal keeps A123 competitor Valence afloat into 2010

Austin,Texas,USA -Green Beat, by Tom Slater -December 18, 2009: -- The relatively minor deal just struck between Smith Electric Vehicles U.S. and Valence Technology may hold broader promise. The $1.4 million contract to supply the automaker with advanced batteries could be the shot in the arm Valence needs to survive among the likes of A123Systems, Johnson Controls-Saft and Panasonic... Because the two companies designed their products to fit each other, Valence is a virtual lock for future orders, even if the agreement isn’t explicitly exclusive. This puts the venture-backed company in a much better position going into 2010, a year that could be a melee of partnerships and supply deals between electric vehicle and hybrid makers and advanced battery makers... With many EV and hybrid models set to be released next year and 2011, automakers are sure to be looking for battery suppliers with the cheapest, most efficient technology on offer.
