Unconscionable trucker * UK - £200 fine for smoking trucker
Halton Council,Cheshire,UK -HGV (UK) -August 4, 2009: -- A truck driver who claimed that he was smoking an “electric” cigarette has failed in his bid to have a smoking fine overturned... Chris Minihan was spotted by Halton Council officials smoking in the cab of his tanker, flicking the ash out the window, before discarding the butt of the cigarette... Minihan received a fixed penalty notice, but took the case to Runcorm Magistrates, where he produced a “Gamucci” electric cigarette, which glows at the tip, and gives off “smoke” which is created by steam...
