TRUCKERS' STORY * USA - Lady Trucker
Her company hauls the stuff our roads are made from
Leesburg,FL,USA -The Daily Commercial, by DAVID DONALD -August 20, 2009: -- If you drive, chances are you've driven on Cindy Whiting's roads... Whiting is the owner of Diamond C Transport and has hauled materials to road construction crews throughout the state for the last 12 years... Whiting never expected to go into the trucking business. She always wanted to become a doctor. But like most things that infiltrate the blood, it was hard for Whiting to abandon an industry she grew up around... Whiting opened her company in 1997 hauling limestone, asphalt and other aggregates. She also hauls fuel and has contracted with the federal government to move FEMA trailers. Today, Whiting's business has 30 employees and 23 company trucks...
