SURVEY * Ireland - Businesses waiting longer to get paid

Dublin,Ireland -HGV -24 June 2009: -- ISME, the Irish Small and Medium Enterprise lobby group, has claimed that businesses are waiting an average of 73 days to get paid for the goods and services they provide... The results of an ISME survey shows that less than one in four companies (23 per cent) are being paid within 30 days while 45 per cent are experiencing delays of 90 days or more... A further 15 per cent are waiting over 120 days, an increase of 10 per cent from ISME's Spring survey...
ISME says the situation is deteriorating as the delays have increased from 60 days in Autumn 2007 to the current 'excessive' 73 days...
