Sacramento,CAL,USA -eTrucker, by Jill Dunn -5 June 2009: -- A 3-mile stretch of a United States-Mexico freeway that will cost $76.8 million to build is one of the first transportation projects to benefit from the federal recovery act... On May 27, California began on a new phase of the SR-905, which will build the six-lane freeway segment from Britannia Boulevard to Interstate 805, an interchange at Caliente Avenue, and new off-ramps at Britannia Boulevard... Border ports of entry process more than two million trucks each year, a figure expected to double within the next decade... The entire SR-905 project will cost $620 million and create 8 miles of a new six-lane freeway alignment from the Otay Mesa Port of Entry to I-805... (Image from dot.ca.govges: SR 905)
