* Australia - Consumers 'to pay' for fuel subsidy cut

QNLD,Australia -ABC News -May 18, 2009: -- The Queensland Trucking Association warns the price of goods will rise by up to 3 per cent if the State Government scraps the eight cents per litre fuel subsidy... Premier Anna Bligh, says she is considering cutting the scheme, which costs $600 million a year, because the state Budget is under pressure... Association spokesman, Peter Garske, says the move would cost truck drivers up to $15,000, which they would be forced to pass on to consumers...
