* Italy - 6 April: Societa' Europea Veicoli Leggeri Sevel Spa announced the acquisition of BLG Logistics Solutions Adriatica Srl. Based in Cologne, Germany, BLG provides logistics services to the automotive, electronics and consumer goods industries. Terms were not disclosed.
+ France - 7 April: Veolia Transport China Ltd announced the acquisition of 50.0% of Hong Kong Tramways, Ltd ("HKT") for $31.1 million. HKT operates a fleet of double deck tramcars and transports an average of 230,000 passengers daily.
* Germany - 7 April: Lubecker Nachrichten Gmbh announced the acquisition of MV Logistik Service GmbH & Co. KG. Based in Rostock, Germany, MV operates mail delivery centers under the Ostsee-Post name. Terms were not disclosed.
* Canada - 8 April: Greater Toronto Transit Authority announced the acquisition of Canadian National Railway Company's ("CNR") Weston Subdivision for $129.3 million. Based in Montreal, CNR operates a transcontinental railway spanning Canada from the Atlantic coast in Nova Scotia to the Pacific coast in British Columbia.
