* USA - Carlile moves to go green with truck fleet

Anchorage,AK,USA -The Alaska Journal of Commerce, by Rob Stapleton -7 Decv 2008: -- Carlile Transportation Systems has switched to green trucks at the Port of Tacoma, and is cutting emissions on its North Slope fleet... The company plans to introduce two new Kenworth hybrid trucks into its Washington fleet in early December, said Carlile CEO Linda Leary... * USA - Minnesota Diversified Industries sells St. Paul HQ to trucking firm

St. Paul,WI,USA -The Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal, by Sam Black -December 5, 2008: -- Minnesota Diversified Industries, a nonprofit based in St. Paul, closed Dec. 1 on the sale of its headquarters to a logistics firm... The 312,800-square-foot building at 1700 Wynne Ave. was bought for $9.5 million by SBS Group, an Eagan-based trucking and warehouse company that plans to move its headquarters to the building... In early 2009, SBS will move 121 employees from three different locations where it now leases space; an office in Eagan and two warehouses in St. Paul, said Paul Goff, president of the privately-held company...


* Canada - Trimac acquires fertilizer hauling business

Calgary,AB,CAN -MarketWatch -Dec 05, 2008: -- Trimac Income Fund announced today that Trimac Transportation Services Limited Partnership has completed the purchase of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Canamera Carriers Inc.... Canamera is a bulk trucking and warehousing company involved in the transportation and warehousing of fertilizer, agricultural products and road salt in the Provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba... Canamera is based out of Yorkton, Saskatchewan and operates its trucking and warehousing business out of three leased properties...
