Strategic Buyers - International Deals
* Germany - 10 Oct: Wilson A.S.A. announced the pending acquisition of the remaining 50.0% of Euro Container Line AS ("ECL") for $3.1 million. Based in Hamburg, Germany, ECL provides marine container shipping services.
* Germany - 12 Oct: The Hamburg Group, led by the city's government and logistics billionaire Klaus-Michael Kuehne, announced the pending acquisition of Hapag-Lloyd AG for $6.0 billion. Based in Hamburg, Germany, Hapag-Lloyd provides global marine container shipping services.
* Italy - 13 Oct: Alis Aerolinee Italiane Spa has acquired Cargoitalia SpA. Cargoitalia provides air logistics services in Italy and had TTM revenue of $97.0 million. Terms were not disclosed.
* Singapore - 14 Oct: Wilmar International Limited has acquired 60.0% of Raffles Shipping & Investment Pte Ltd for $9.6 million. Based in Singapore, Raffles operates a fleet of oil tankers and had TTM revenue of $209.9 million.
* Singapore - 15 Oct: OCWS Logistics Pte Ltd has acquired SM Integrated Transware Pte Ltd ("SMIT") for $8.2 million. Based in Singapore, SMIT provides transportation, container haulage, bulk cargo handling, chemical warehousing and drumming services.
* France - 16 Oct: Bunge Ltd. has acquired SSI Logistics. Based in France, SSI owns 50.0% of Baria Serece, the owner/operator of Phu My Port, Vietnam.
US Domestic Deals
* USA - 2 Oct: U.S. Xpress Enterprises has acquired 47.0% of Smith Transport. Based in Roaring Spring, PA, Smith provides medium length of haul truckload dedicated service primarily in the Eastern US. Terms were not disclosed.
Financial Buyers
* USA - 11 Oct: Cole Capital Advisors, Inc. has acquired Baton Rouge FedEx Shipping Terminal for $9.0 million.

Wow I didn't realize Cole Capital has an entire shipping terminal as one of their properties. I'm always impressed to see the variety of properties Cole Capital owns; I like how they diversify their investments.
I invest in Cole REIT too and I didn't know they had this type of property in their investments. It's actually pretty cool.
