TOLLS * USA - Massachusetts Turnpike sued over EZ Pass, Fast Lane price differences
Mass,USA -Land Line Magazine -October 13, 2008: -- A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority regarding a difference in what motorists pay in tolls, depending on whether they use the EZ-Pass or Fast Lane system... Both systems allow drivers to pay electronically without stopping, but Fast Lane users receive a discount of 25 cents to 50 cents depending on how far they travel... A lawyer representing EZ-Pass users says the discrepancy is a violation of interstate commerce laws... EZ-Pass is used in a number of northeastern states, while Fast Lane is strictly for the Massachusetts Turnpike...
