INFRASTRUCTURE * USA - Developers plan $9M terminal to help logistics companies
Jacksonville,FL,USA -The Jacksonville Business Journal, by Mark Szakonyi -12 Sept 2008: -- Developers of a $9 million container terminal on the Northside say they expect their plans to be a boom to trucking companies and steamship lines by keeping containers safe, selling diesel fuel for less and unloading containers on-site so they can go directly back to ships... But the terminal, at Blasius and Faye roads, which will begin as a 150-container lot and later become a 50,000-square-foot temperature-controlled cross-dock facility, is just the beginning for 92 2nd Street West LLC... Partners Bill Stallings and Paul Robbins, along with Heritage Capital Group Inc., a middle-market investment banking firm, have created Quadrant Logistics to merge and buy complementary, noncompeting logistics companies...
