London,UK -Bloomberg, by Tracy Alloway -July 4, 2008: -- Laxey Partners Ltd., an Isle of Man investment firm, agreed to buy U.K. trucker TDG Plc for 203 million pounds ($402 million), gaining a transporter of chilled food for J Sainsbury Plc and chemicals for BASF SE... Laxey will pay 250 pence a share, 11 percent more than TDG's close on Feb. 26, the day before the firm first said it might bid. Shareholders may opt to get 200 pence and 6.625 shares of acquisition vehicle LIT Plc, which will trade on London's Alternative Investment Market, Laxey said in a statement today...Labels: trucking industry news UK
