Vehicle sales * Canada - Especially trucks, down in B.C.
Vancouver,BC,CAN -The Vancouver Sun, by FIONA ANDERSON -June 16, 2008: -- New vehicle sales in British Columbia fell almost 11 per cent in April compared to a year earlier, the largest drop in Canada... Sales of cars and trucks in B.C. (which includes Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut) were down 10.8 per cent year over year, seasonally adjusted, while across Canada the drop was only 2.9 per cent, according to numbers released by Statistics Canada today... But most of the drop was in trucks, including minivans, sport-utility vehicles and buses, said Mark Switzer, an analyst for the new motor vehicle survey at Statistics Canada... On an unadjusted basis, truck sales dropped 8.9 per cent from April 2007 while car sales were only down 2.3 per cent...Labels: trucks sales
