* Volvo clean trucks get presidential approval

Bush liked what he saw yesterday during a tour of Volvo and Mack carbon-dioxide-neutral trucks, hosted by Volvo Group CEO Leif Johansson... The president toured the display hall at the Washington International Renewable Energy Conference yesterday, where seven Volvo Group trucks -- six Volvo truck models and one Mack Truck -- each capable of operating on different renewable fuels, were presented... * Navistar reports profit of $301 million in '06

Warrenville,Ill,USA - Bloomberg News/ The Detroit News -7 March 2008: -- Truckmaker Navistar International Corp. reported its long-overdue 2006 earnings Thursday, disclosing a $301 million profit for the year and pledging to have its annual filings current by mid-2008 after a delay caused by accounting problems... The company said its earnings more than doubled in 2006 from $139 million a year earlier and said sales jumped 17 percent to $14.2 billion from $12.1 billion... The Warrenville-based company, which also makes diesel engines and school buses, went more than two years without reporting financial results until last October...


* Azure Dynamics to build hybrid trucks and vans, will add up to 50
