Nottawasaga OPP are using a high tech way to get unsafe trucks off our roads
Owen Sound,Ontario,Canada -The Bayshore Broadcasting News Centre, by Maggie Clegg -March 10th, 2008: -- ... Thermal technology allows officers to find defects in braking systems... They used the technology during 12 road-side truck inspections on Industrail Parkway in Alliston last week... Officers pulled 2 trucks off the road - one had a major wheel defect and the other's brakes were out of adjustment... The drivers were charged under the Highway Traffic Act... Nottawasaga OPP say they will use the thermal technology in random truck safety inspections over the following weeks...
