* Holland - Tanker-stabilising airbag pops up
Holland -Road Transport -2 November 2007: -- An airbag designed to make tankers more stable has been unveiled. The new anti-slosh Cairbag, designed by Dutch firm Accede, is an inflatable bag which is fitted inside the tanker and fills up all the space not taken by liquids. The volume of the bag automatically adjusts when the tank discharges or takes on cargo... The company says the bag can take any share of vol-ume between 0% and 100% without changing its internal pressure. It is available in a variety of materials, depending on the cargo, and also helps to prevent vapour loss...


* Holland - Externally accessible storage comes to UK
Holland -Road Transport -2 November 2007: -- Dutch firm Beks Systems is targeting its range of horizontal storage draws at the British market. The company, which has penned a selection of designs available to van operators in Holland, is currently looking for a UK distribution partner. Beks says the long drawers inside the van allow workmen to access materials or tools from outside their vehicle. This contrasts with the traditional vertical racking arrangement, where the workman has to walk into the centre of the vehicle...
