Systems aim at specific market niches, offer measurable benefits, known costs... Lifecycle costs difficult to predict w/ short historical data available. Costs expected to come down as technology matures, sales volumes grow... Won't happen until purchasing managers have more confidence in hybrid operational characteristics... Results specific to duty cycle; hybrid drive can be less appropriate than traditional diesel...
